JOB DESCRIPTION

• Assist in the production of design documentation (pre-feasibility, feasibility studies, preliminary design, main design, revisions).
• Facilitate needs assessments and support contract design, procurement processes.
• Assist in supervising design development, construction works, and other project activities.
• Suggest solutions to problems and recommend corrections related to design, materials, or quality of work.
• Support on-site monitoring of quality, quantities, costs, schedule, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Prepare and submit reports on on-site monitoring activities.
• Provide timely alerts to the managing director about potential issues or critical concerns.
• Contribute to the development of annual work plans and progress reports.
• Assist in creating project monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
• Ensure adherence to project management rules, regulations, and policies.
• Draft correspondence related to project engineering issues.
• Liaising with technicians, municipalities, and other partners on project matters.
• The engineer should be on-site for the first visit to the site with the selected technicians, for major advances and for the provisional and final reception of contracted works;

Required Skills and Experience
Education:

• BSc in civil engineering from a recognized university;
•  Msc in civil engineering from a recognized university
•  Professional licensure in areas of civil or structural engineering would be an asset.
• Should be a member of the National Order of Civil Engineer
• Attestation of registration with ONIGC
•  Female engineer will be an asset

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in design and construction of civil infrastructure, including schools, markets and/or housing;Experience in development of technical project documentation as well as construction supervision;
• Good knowledge and understanding of the National
• Public work modalities and by-laws regulating the construction of public facilities, technical regulations, general and special technical conditions and professional.

• Proficiency in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems.
• Advanced user of AutoCAD would be an advantage.

Language:

•  Fluency in English
